Well, It is a new year!  I have felt relieved at knowing it is a new year, almost like a fresh start.  The holidays were fun.  We spent time with our family and friends and just relaxed and recouped.  On New Year’s, both Sarah and Laura came into town so we hung out and played guitar hero all night.  Now we are back to the grind.  Joe is trying to find some temporary work while he continues to study for his boards at the end of the month.  It has been good having him at home!  I come home to a clean house and dinner cooked.  Makes my life easier! 

We got a new car, well not new, but new to us.  We had a good weekend hanging out with friends.  Joe’s friend Nick was in town and Josiah and Shannon came over to our house!  It reminded me of the night we met.   

Life never seemed this hard when I was younger.  I guess growing up does that to you.

The day after Thanksgiving my Grandpa passed away.  I feel more at peace about it than I thought that I would.  I do not carry guilt of not seeing him, because I saw 3 times that week - or the guilt of not saying goodbye, I was in the hospital at his bedside when they pulled the plug.  He had a good, long life and now he has went to heaven to be with God and his wife again.  It's still weird.  Knowing we have to get rid of all the stuff that the 2 of them had collected for 50 some years, and not having grandma and grandpa's house to go over to.  My cousin and I rang the dinner bell they had in the back yard for the last time after the funeral.

And then - I get in a bad car accident.  Cars gone, I'm ok, luckily!  I hit a semi on 77.  Lucky, I repeat!  Now I spend my hours trying to mess with insurance companies and bugging people to give me rides.

In my life it seems like the bad things come in waves.  All the time it takes to recouperate and then it is time for another wave.  I praise the Lord that He is good and his love endures forever.  Without Him, I don't think I could make it.  I think He is building strength and endurance in myself for some reason.
